What Is Earthing ?

Earthing is an electrical connection between metallic parts, structures or electric circuits to the ground through buried conductor, i.e. GI, CI or Copper. Generally in any earth system (or earth pit) measures are taken to ensure the good conductivity with low earth resistance. For this purpose water/humidity retaining compounds like salt, charcoal, etc are used in the earth pit with various metallic parts with Salt and charcoal in an earth pit, the life of the metallic parts gets degraded due to corrosion.

Installation Method

  • Bore a hole of 8"-10" in diameter at a place where earthing is to be done, to a suitable depth of 2-3 Mtr.
  • Place the Earthing Electrode inside the pit.
  • Mix the SRIP compound nicely with the soil.
  • Re—Fill the empty space around the Earthing Electrode.
  • While re—filling the space, pour water in the PIT. — Pack the soil around Electrode tightly and nicely.
